VBH acts as agent between hardware suppliers and customers, who treat these products for industrial and technical purposes. VBH customers are mainly door, window and furniture manufacturers. The range of goods covers hardware for door, window, furniture and machines as well as constituent parts for safety and fire-protection equipment.
1975 VBH was founded as a merger of two traditional branch companies. The initial public offer took place in 1989. Since 1996 the affiliated group is developing under the consolidation of VBH Holding AG. Besides Germany VBH nowadays is rated in numerous countries of Europe as market leader and also represented in Asia, Australia and South America with its subsidiaries.
The regional closeness to our customers is provided by 16 subsidiaries in Germany and tight distribution and logistic structures in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, China, Estonia, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Middle East, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary and White Russia. In the past most turnover for VBH has been yielded in Germany, but with approx. 50 % of the total turnover in 2002 the foreign markets are becoming more and more important.
